My initial idea was to provide a decked area outside of the French doors at the back of Dougie and Judith’s kitchen/living room, but had to play around with shapes and sizes until finding something that felt right. I began with a cubic theme to the garden but then felt on reflection that curves would suit Dougie and Judith’s sense of style more. Once confirmed the rest of the garden was structured around this circular deck which will be sunken to meet ground level.
